No More sleep for you.

ever....at least until he's 18 and even then I don't think I'll sleep because I'll be worrying about him acting up.

Colin Rhys (pronounced Reese) was born on February 8th, 2011 at 7:47am.  He was 7lbs 14.9oz (I rounded up to 15 but the hospital said 14).  He was born via cesareon section (not exactly what we expected would happen).  The morning of February 7th Michael and I went in for our weekly checkup with our doctor.  I was ready to talk to him about an embarrassing and painful problem I was having (ummm can you say butt boil!) however when the doctor checked me out he let me know that my blood count was still low (as it had been the whole pregnancy) and I had antibodies in my blood.  Basically he said we were doing a c section and asked if we wanted to go to the hospital now (at that moment).  HUH??  Shell shocked and ill prepared I didn't even know what to say.  I babbled something about needing to clear up some stuff at work.  We were thinking we would make it at least to our due date (Feb 17th) or beyond.  Colin had other plans.  We were admitted to the hospital that night so they could administer some steroids to me (to help my blood count).  Needless to say I was pretty nervous and didn't sleep that night.  and basically we haven't slept since then.  not a full nights sleep.  and I miss it.  I remember thinking "boohoo- I'm not getting any sleep while pregnant".  Boy-was I wrong.  the first couple of weeks adjusting to it were the worst.  I fell asleep sitting up with feeding him a couple times.  I miss pre-baby saturday mornings when I could sleep in but I wouldn't trade him for the world.  He's my own personal alarm clock.  Love him.

Happy F-in Earth Day!

Ahhhhh Starbucks!  I love it when you offer free coffee.  Even though the lines are long I still really enjoy squeezing a couple of free cups of coffee out of the company who charges me $4 for a cup of coffee- nothing fancy, just iced coffee.  ridiculous.  But this morning's line was a hell of a lot less annoying than the rude person behind me.

Michael and I bought Dunkin Doughnuts coffee at Costco a couple weeks ago and we've tried it a few times and have come to the conclusion that it tastes....like ass.  It surprises me because I used to LOVE their coffee but we have no Dunkin Doughnuts in town *tears* and maybe we just don't know how to make it the way they do (or maybe having a baby has forced me to need much STRONGER coffee).  Anyway- the bottom line is- we need starbucks.  So when I went to Starbucks this morning I ordered a bag of coffee and asked the barista (who was singing Lady GaGa btw) to grind (ground? which one is it?) it for me.  Well this takes all of about 2 extra minutes but the jackhole behind me had this sour look on his face because apparently he was late for whatever he was going to do.  We're all busy dude!  He even decided to butt in front of me in the creamer line (the little table that has the cream and sugar).  Well unluckily for him I still managed to get in front of him on the way out of the parking lot.  Instead of waiting his turn he decided to pull up next to me and pull out of the parking lot in front of me.  Now- I would consider myself a semi-aggressive driver.  Not really that much of a hesitator.  So I don't think I was making his dumbass wait.  The whole thing infuriated me because it brought down my morning mood.  And he forced me to give him the one finger salute when I passed him at the light he had to sit at.  Too bad he had to wait.  It's really too bad....
